Incredible delicious food, fine cuisine. Very friendly and nice people. Every dish we taste was heaven, in mouth and to the eyes (nicely presented), also the gluten free options. Dinning here has been a fantastic culinary experience, highly recommended!!

We had such a wonderful dining experience here! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional — every detail was taken care of, making us feel truly welcome. The food is outstanding — not only beautifully presented but also full of flavor and creativity. Each dish felt special and unique, with high-quality ingredients and perfect preparation. The combination of textures and flavors was impressive, making every bite a real delight. The atmosphere is cozy and elegant, perfect for enjoying an evening out with great food and good company. The drinks were also excellent and complemented the meal perfectly. If you are looking for a place with excellent service, a refined atmosphere, and food that is both delicious and special, I can highly recommend this restaurant. It is definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely wonderful. Definitely our best meal on our Italian trip around Puglia and Basilicata. Food and staff were brilliant. Staff were warm, friendly and had good English. It was a very busy night but they handled everything perfectly. Following the complementary amuse bouse, we had taglioni with red shrimps and truffle oil (€19). My partner had a very generous portion of mixed fried fish including whitebait, squid and shrimps (€23). The bottles of wine started from around €25 or so. Highly recommended and very much a 'must go' restaurant.

The staff, atmosphere and food are all wonderful. The servers are some of the most personable we have ever encountered. The food was great including an interesting presentation of fava bean and chicory soup presented asa cappuccino.

This place is out of this world AMAZING. By far the best dining experience in Italy. I’ve never been to a Michelin star restaurant but I’d imagine that this is what it looks and feels like. Our waiter Domenico was amazing at explaining each ingredient and how it all comes together. We’ve tried MANY restaurants in Italy and none come even close to this special place.

Their welcoming servings were kind and tasty. We especially liked the choice of breads and bitterness of the extra virgin olive oil. Steak tartare as a starter was a great selection. However primi plates were not that satisfying, lemon pasta had raspberries and I think there was not enough balance between aromas, the meat inside other pasta was well cooked.

It happens only once a year that I give 5 stars for a place, but Botega Culinaria really deserves it. We found the place by chance and decided to try it for one dish. At the end we finished with 4 ;-) The chef the cuisine has definitely international experience and creates really delicious dishes for moderate prices. The service was really professional and friendly. We really enjoyed the dinner and will definitely return.

Had a great dinner here. Luca was awesome and made great recommendations and shared about Matera, the culture and food. The chef changes his menus and his seafood soup was awesome!
